30 Hawks, 10 Cemeteries, and 2 Crows Later...

Whew! We finally made it home on Wednesday night, January 3rd, and boy, were we glad to be home! We were able to get a rental vehicle (a Ford Freestar minivan) and travel due south out of Lamar. Once we passed Springfield, about 50 miles, we passed out of the snow-bound area and had clear roads all the way home. It took us about 9.5 hours altogether.

To pass the time traveling "The Northwest Passage" through the Oklahoma Panhandle, we decided to count things. We actually counted 30 hawks between Boise City and Guymon. We only saw one after that. Hmmm, interesting...

Once home, we slowly got back in the swing of things. The best part is, that the trucking company "Landstar" has agreed to pay all of our expenses, without hesitation. I think they were so grateful that noone was injured that the property damage and other misc. expenses seemed like no big deal. Praise the Lord for His favor and provision!

This should be the last entry to this blog. It's been real and it's been run, but it hasn't been real fun...
